A 2-year-old boy almost drowned in a pool at a house in Andeon, Pretoria.

The boy was later brought out of the pool, and the boy’s parent had to notified Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to intervene in the situation.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, paramedics with other services arrived at the scene, and found the boy lying next to the swimming pool.

Meiring stated that the CPR and advanced life support examined the toddler only to find out he wasn’t breathing at first, but after much efforts to revive him, a few minutes later his vital signs returned and he was taken to Kalafong Provincial Hospital for further medical attention.
