The police are searching for a 19-year-old female UCT student, Uyinene Mrwetyana who was last seen on Saturday afternoon leaving her University resident at about 1:30pm.

Friends of Mrwetyana reported the incidents to the police, and they also appealing to anyone who has info about her whereabouts should report to the nearest police station.

The Pink Ladies Organisation, which help in missing women and children stated that the victim was last seen wearing a brown corduroy pants and a black handbag and she wears a ring in the center of her nose too.

A twitter User Chana Dunsiwa who share the tweet on twitter wrote; “As night falls on this day, please I urge everyone to light a candle or burn some sage and just think and pray for the safe return of Uyinene Mrwetyana.”

The Claremont Police station are requesting that if anyone has any information about the missing person should contact, Const Nkonki at 021-657-2240 or 021-657-2243 or 079-894-1563, or pink ladies at 072-214-7439 or 086-001-0111.
