Mamelodi Sundowns are considering signing an  American international ahead of the CAF champions league tournament.

Nathan Júnior Soares de Carvalho has been training with the PSL champions for about a month in order to impress Pits Mosimane and his coaching staffs.

However, the South Amrican striker is still being watched for more improvement.

The source added that a decision about whether or not the Brazilians will be bringing the player on board, is yet to be made, as the club is not in a rush to sign the 29-year-old, who is currently a free agent.

Sundowns currently have one spot left on their foreign quota, with Toni Silva, Ricardo Nascimento, Jose Ali Meza and Gaston Sirino all filling the four other spots.

The Brazilians will get underway with the new CAF Champions League campaign and indications are that should the club look to sign the Brazilian striker, he could be registered in time for the competition.
