Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has promised the club and its supports three trophies despite the Telkom knockout disappointment.
Chiefs were knocked out of the TKO semifinals by Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
With the league still open, the CAF confederations cup and Nedbank cup next year, Solinas is still positive.
Solinas admits that a ‘lapse in concentration’ cost them, though refused to point fingers at any individuals following the loss.
The club’s website quoted him as saying, “We are disappointed… Losing a Derby is painful. It’s a very sad day and we once more apologise to our supporters, who came in their numbers hoping to see us beat Pirates and progress to the final.
“A lapse in concentration cost us the match, but I don’t want to apportion blame on anyone – we win and lose together.”
All is not lost though, according to the Italian, who went on to say, “There are still three more trophies to play for this season… I will not give up and I will continue to work hard to improve the team. We have to remain positive. It is going to be difficult to sleep tonight though. But, come Sunday, we will roll up our sleeves and prepare for the next match.” he said on Saturday.
