Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has reacted to the Telkom knockout semifinals draw after they were drawn against their Soweto rivals.

Chiefs were made to sweat at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday afternoon as they inflicted revenge on SuperSport United with a 1-0 victory.

The Amakhosi set up a date with their arch-rivals, Orlando Pirates in the semi-final of the Telkom Knockout.

The biggest shock of the round saw Baroka FC, who are struggling in the league, eliminate Mamelodi Sundowns in Limpopo.

Chiefs coach admitted that if his boys refuse to learn from their past mistake in the Absa Soweto derby two weeks ago then they would fail again.

Pirates defeated them 2-1 from behind to claim bragging right.

While reacting to the draw, Solinas said, “It is a good draw, you should not expect an easy ride when going for trophies”.

“This is our chance to lift a trophy in three years but if we repeat our mistakes then i’m sorry”, he added.

The final will be contested at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on the 8th of December.
