Following reports of a potential move to Kaizer Chiefs in the last transfer window, Premier Soccer League’s most sought after player has broken the ice over his decision.

Former Ajax Cape Town defender Mosa Lebusa has revealed why he chose Mamelodi Sundowns over Amakhosi.

The PSL big three were after his signature but he moved to the current PSL champions with injury.

Lebusa said his decision to move to Sundowns was influenced by trophy.

“I felt that there are more chances of winning trophies here. Yes, they [Chiefs] were interested. You also have to look at playing-time. Playing-time is the most important and obviously winning as well. It does not make sense to be getting game-time and you are not winning,” Lebusa said.

“I also had to look at which team is going to make me a better person. There’s a lot of good players and you have to up your game. In a way it’s going to raise your game. They [Chiefs] were serious, but at the end of the day the decision is mine and I ended up coming here. It’s not easy, but I think I made the right decision.”
