Mamelodi Sundowns who suffered a major blow with the injury to Sibusiso Vilakazi would welcome seven players as the team prepare for their TKO.

Sundowns will host Bloemfontein Celtic at the Lucas Moripe stadium for this weekend’s TKO competition.

Sundowns had seven of their players on duty with their respective national teams, namely, Hlompho Kekana, Phakamani Mahlambi, Lebohang Maboe and Motjeka Madisha for Bafana Bafana, Kennedy Mweene for Zambia, Denis Onyango for Uganda and Toni Silva for Guinea-Bissau.

These seven players will look to hit the ground running at the Chloorkop-based club, with preparations for Sundowns’ upcoming Telkom Knockout encounter against Bloemfontein Celtic this weekend.

As confirmed by Sundowns this week, Sibusiso Vilakazi has been ruled out for the rest of the season, with the player no longer playing any part in the Brazilians’ campaign, after sustaining an injury while on duty for the South African National team.

In addition, Themba Zwane also picked up an injury ahead of the international break and it remains to be seen whether the player will be fit enough to feature for Sundowns this weekend.
