Words reaching us has it that Mamelodi Sundowns have seen the replacement for Pitso Mosimane as they prepare for show down talks.

The coach was rumoured to be nearing a sack as the team struggled to replicate same form that saw them lift the Absa trophy.

Few foreign coaches were reportedly on the list of possible replacement for Pitso before the latest development.

Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy is the chosen one by the Brazilians to replace Pitso when he leaves the club as he prepares for his sabbatical leave.

With Benni having acquired his UEFA pro licence and as the only PSL coach to have the highest qualification, he has been chosen.

Benni who is in his second season at City has played two MTN8 cup finals losing one and winning the other against same opponent, SuperSport United.

Benni has said that he cannot guarantee his future with the Citizens after the MTN8 cup trophy as he wants one of the big clubs in the PSL.

Now it remains to be seen when Pitso would go for his sabbatical and if Benni would accept the coaching role at Sundowns.
