Zambia striker Lazarous Kambole has refused to confirm reports that he is set to sign for struggling South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.

The former Zesco United forward is set to depart Team Ya Ziko with the Glamour Boys reportedly favourites to land his services.

Kambole was a part of his national team that recently won the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations trophy with a victory in the final over Botswana.

The player expressed delight with the win but was cagey on where his next move might be, telling reporters: “I think this is one way to say goodbye, so I think it’s a great feeling to win this cup for my people in Zambia, and it was my first time winning it after losing the final last year.

“This competition enhanced my reputation in some way to play in the PSL. I will be facing new challenges, but all will depend on which team I will be playing at, as I got offers even at AmaZulu.”

He concluded of links to the Glamour Boys: “Kaizer Chiefs? I don’t know about it [laughs], it’s just a rumour.”
