With the January transfer window open this morning, Mamelodi Sundowns move to sign two players from Chiefs and Pirates who have been linked with Tshwane giants last year.
According to the reports the two players are currently contracted with their respective club but may be considering the offer that was brought to them this morning.
However the two affected players are, George Maluleka (Kaizer Chiefs) and Abbubaker Mobara of Orlando Pirates.

The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder has struggled with injury this season, but is slowly beginning to rediscover his best form.

This has seen Sundowns linked with a move for the player, but he certainly won’t come cheap after he reportedly signed a new deal which runs until June 2020.

Nonetheless, the Tshwane giants might look to bring the 29-year-old in to add to their depth as they look to part ways with several players during the January transfer window.

Ahead of the current campaign, Sundowns were reportedly interested in Pirates’ versatile player, but a move did not materialise.

Mobara has since fallen down the pecking order at Bucs, which could reignite the Brazilians’ interest.

The most recent reports doing the rounds suggested that both Sundowns may be monitoring the player’s situation as he has only made three league appearances this season.
