Kaizer Chiefs would be expecting series of CV from potential coaches after the sacking of their coaches.

Chiefs said in statement: ‘Kaizer Chiefs and coach Giovanni Solinas have mutually agreed to an amicable termination of his contract with immediate effect. The Italian coach took charge of Amakhosi in July 2018.

‘Assistant coach Patrick Mabedi’s contract has also been terminated.

‘We would like to express our gratitude to both for all the efforts during their time at Kaizer Chiefs and wish them well.

‘The club will make further announcements in due course.’

Chiefs have struggled to win matches consistently under the Italian coach this season. On Tuesday, Amakhosi lost to Zimamoto FC of Zanzibar 2-1 in the CAF Confederation Cup but advanced to the next round, thanks to their 5-2 aggregate score from the 4-0 win in the first leg in Port Elizabeth.

Amakhosi have confirmed that Solinas, who was in his first season with the team, has had his contract terminated by the club.

The call for the sacking of the coaches became intense after a large number of Kaizer Chiefs Fans expressed their dissatisfaction on the Coaches and have been calling for Immediate termination of their contract.

Reports reaching us has it that the club is linked with Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach  Manqoba Mngqithi .

However, another report has it that Orlando Pirates assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena has sent his CV to be considered for the role.

It remains who the club would appoint in the coming days to take over from the sacked Italian.
