Words reaching us now has it that Kaizer Chiefs new assistant coach have tied a deal just few days after taking up his new job.

Our sources confirmed to us that Shaun Bartlett was in talks with Tokelo Rantie over a move to Naturena following Kermit Erasmus return to Premier Soccer League.

City have announced the signing of Erasmus but would have to wait for January when the transfer window opens before playing.

City is his third club in the last six months but he does not fall foul of the FIFA rule restricting players from competing for three clubs in a single season because the season in Sweden is from March to November.

His signing means that Rantie is free to leave after his inability to break into Benni McCarthy’s starting eleven since his arrival.

Rantie has agreed a deal in principle with Chiefs representatives.

Now it remains to be seen when the parties will announce the deal.
