According to news making waves in the local media, it was said to believe that Kaizer Chiefs are considering a move to bring one of their club legends back to the club at the age of 36 and the former Orlando Pirates midfielder Josephy ‘Shakira’ Kamwendo who is 32 years old.
The 32-year-old Malawi international was the first foreigner to be crowned Zimbabwe’s Soccer Star of the year in 2005 playing for CAPS United, and later played with the likes of Teko Modise at Pirates.
Kaizer Chiefs Legend, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, who spent nearly a decade at Naturena with the Glamour Boys, left Chiefs in 2016 to join SuperSport United, where he went on to lift both the Nedbank Cup and MTN8 trophies under Stuart Baxter and Eric Tinkler.
However, the veteran midfielder’s current contract with SuperSport set to expire at the end of the current campaign,
Meanwhile, Chiefs have shown an interest in bringing him back to the club with the view of him working for the club long-term once he retires.
