Following the 0-0 draw between Mamelodi Sundowns and Baroka Fc on Tuesday night, Pitso Mosimane has  hit out at the awful tactics by opponents.

Pitso singled out Baroka goalkeeper, Elvis Chipezeze for time wasting, after being held to a 0-0 draw at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, on Tuesday evening.

Masandawana were denied all three points by a resolute Bakgaga side thanks to a Man of the Match display by Zimbabwean Chipezeze who kept out a total of six shots on target.

A frustrated Mosimane though, in a post-match interview hit out at the shot-stopper’s theatrics to run down the clock as his side were seeking to break the deadlock.

“I think we should congratulate Chipezeze for being named Man of the Match for wasting time hey,” Mosimane said. “(Referee) Phillip Tinyani is experienced, how can you allow Chipezeze to do that after he did the same things against Pirates?”

“He’s falling all the time, to kill time and he kills our momentum. Referees should be able to see what he’s doing. I mean these guys don’t want to play football, two of them on the ground, he’s doing very well for Africa.

Mosimane went on to lament the absence of midfielder Themba Zwane while saying that his substitutes failed to make the desired impact after being introduced.

The 54-year-old mentor once again hit out at those who allocate the Man of the Match award saying that Chipezeze was undeserving after his bad sportsmanship.

“Chipezeze did the same thing against Pirates, and you guys give him Man of the Match. He’s a good goalkeeper and probably deserves the award for playing, but when he wastes time like that and you still give him the Man of the Match award.

“We are not thinking, who chooses that? I don’t understand, in South African football we need to look at things differently. I know you’re going to say ‘why me?’ but I’m right and I know I’m right.

“I mean he deserves the award, don’t get me wrong… but we know who does this, on the floor all the time in South Africa, the specialist.”

Sundowns next face a two-legged Champions League clash against Al Ahly Benghazi with the first-leg taking place on Sunday.
