Information at our disposal has it that for the first time the Soweto derby won’t be played at the FNB stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs will be playing Orlando Pirates in the Telkom knockout semifinals later this month after both clashed few days ago in the Absa premiership fixture.

With the game due to be played on the weekend of November 24th, it looks as though the two teams and the Premier Soccer League may have to find a venue elsewhere due to a prebooked national day of prayer at FNB. Cape Town Stadium is also thought to be occupied that weekend, too.
Accordind to the league’s spokesperson, Luxolo September, he explained that meetings will take place to discuss the way forward, though didn’t confirm whether FNB is definitely unavailable.
September told the crew, “The PSL Organising Committee will meet and deliberate on the TKO semi-final logistics including the venues for both matches. Naturally, we have to talk to both home Member Clubs and solicit their preferences.
“These semi-finals are going to be special. The level of interest is flattering. “
