Orlando Pirates are one of three Absa Premiership sides that are believed to have shown an interest in potentially bringing SuperSport United’s Thuso Phala on board in January.

However, Pirates is said to have secured the signature of Thuso Phala for R4, Million and would soon be making it public in no distant time.

The 32-year-old winger has fallen out of favour under Kaitano Tembo this season, has played just six Absa Premiership games so far, and last scored in the league back in May 2017.

Phala, who has been with SuperSport since 2013, will see his current contract with Matsatsantsa come to an end,

Phala hasn’t been given a start by Tembo in the Absa Premiership since October now, and it certainly seems as though the club are preparing for life after he has moved on after a very successful spell in Tshwane.

It remains to be seen whether the attacker will leave his side now in January or at the end of the season when his deal expires, and that could largely depend on whether Pirates, Celtic or Arrows up the ante and turn their interest into something more concrete.
