The wife of Orlando Pirates star midfielder Issa Sarr slept behind the bars last week following her arrest.

Felicia Sarr, was a guest of the Sandton police holding cells after being nabbed on charges of fraud.

It is alleged that sassy Kotze conspired with another man to defraud her employer First National Bank (FNB) of R200,000.

The man from Midrand allegedly applied for a loan at FNB using fraudulent documents and Sarr, who works at the bank’s The Boulders branch, is accused of having aided him to pull the wool over the eyes of the bank but their attempted scam was detected before the application could be approved.

After their arrest, they appeared at the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court in Alexandra where she was released on R3000 bail.

Sandton police spokesman Granville Meyer confirmed that a case of fraud was opened.

“I can confirm that a fraud case was opened in March 2018 and that two suspects were arrested,” said Meyer, adding that the case was currently under investigation.

“It is alleged that one of the suspects was using forged and false information in applying for a loan at FNB. The case is currently under investigation and more information will be available when the investigations are completed.

The couple however could not be reached for comment.
