Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will lock horns in the first Absa Premiership Soweto Derby of the season at the FNB Stadium on October 27.

Pirates coach addressing the media has revealed that they have to be ready for the Soweto derby but first of all they have to see off Chippa United in the TKO this weekend.

The Buccaneers are set to take on Chippa United in the Telkom Knockout Last 16 on the weekend of 20-21 October and Milutin Sredojevic and his team will then have to re-direct their focus to the match against Kaizer Chiefs straight after the cup tie.

“For us, it is now to go back to the drawing board, have FIFA break to collect what is to be collected, to improve where we are supposed to improve, (and) to put ourselves to the criteria and standards to make us ready for the derby,” Micho told the media.

“In 10 days, we have to refresh the players from international duties, prepare the players that have not gone because now we can touch on the important details that could make (the) difference in the game that we shall play against our brothers from Kaizer Chiefs,” added the Pirates coach.
