The report on our news desk has it that Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung is ready to spend big in January for a striker.

With Leonardo Castro not performing at the highest level Chiefs would be doing their best to attract a goal scorer to help in the CAF confederations campaign.

Reports has it that Bobby has identified Amazulu striker Emilano Tade as the ideal candidate to produce the necessary fireworks.

The 30-year-old Argentina-born striker joined AmaZulu from Auckland City on a two-year deal with one option to renew on July 1. He left the New Zealand club as the all-time goal scorer with 107 goals in 162 appearances.

He has scored more than three goals in since his arrival to South Africa.

Tade won an incredible 23 major trophies for the club, including three golden boots, and helped his club in a surprising FIFA Club World Cup bronze medal in 2014 by finishing third.
