South Africa billionaire Patrice Motsepe who is a brother inlaw to president Cyril Ramaphosa, has broken his silence about speculations surrounding his role in the unbundling of embattled Eskom.

Motsepe is one of Africa’s richest men and has a net value of close to $2-billion (R25 billion).

Last year, people questioned why Patrice Motsepe. the president’s brother-in-law, and his business delegation were spotted in the president’s entourage.

Billionaire Patrice Motsepe has rejected claims that Eskom unbundling is designed to benefit him.

Speaking at a media briefing on Monday Motsepe said none of his companies will participate in any sale or disposal of Eskom entities or assets.

President Cyril Ramaphosa was accused of trying to use Eskom to help his in-laws.
