Following the request by Finance Minister Nhlahla Nene, to be relieved of his portfolio, the former Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba might be facing a similar ouster.

This is coming on the heels of parliament’s invitation that the incumbent minister of Home Affairs to give a detailed explanations on his transactions with the Guptas regarding their papers as citizens.

Also, Home Affairs’ processes that allowed the Gupta brothers and their relatives to become South African citizens.

The Home Affairs Portfolio Committee says the matter’s been in the public domain for too long, without resolution.

There are strong indications that Gigaba will be shown the way out as the circumstances surrounding the Guptas papers are dodgy and questionable.
