Three people were left injured this morning, two of them critically, following a two-vehicle collision, on Holdon Road in Bloemfontein, Free State.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the SUV in the middle of the road while a light motor vehicle was found on the pavement. The bodies of two men, both believed to be 18-years-old, lying near their vehicle. A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that both men had sustained numerous injuries which left them in a critical condition. The woman was found to have sustained only minor injuries.
Paramedics treated the patients and provided the two men with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to Mediclinic Bloemfontein for further treatment.
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
