It was all tears at the Regional court after the judge made a severe pronouncement against serial rapist.

The Mdantsane Regional Court had on Monday, 22 October 2018 handed two life sentences for rape of a 46 year old woman, three years imprisonment for kidnapping, three years imprisonment for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm to 43-year-old Siyabonga (Tally) Conjwayo.

This follows the events of December 2016 where the victim was dragged outside of a tavern at Unit P, Mdantsane outside East London, severely beaten resulting in broken jaws and repeatedly raped in the accused’s shack.

The Mdantsane Acting Cluster Commander, Brigadier Marinda Mills welcomed the sentence as it will serve as a deterrent to the would-be rapists and will strengthen our fight against women abuse.
