Twelve people were left injured this morning following a bakkie rollover on the R102 in Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with the Metro Services, arrived on the scene to find the bakkie on the side of the road. Several people were found seated around the vehicle.

It is understood that most of the patients had been on the back of the vehicle when it rolled.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that twelve had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries were found on the scene.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Oudtshoorn Provincial Hospital for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
